About the School

Founded in 1918, Ball State University is a public university. Located in Muncie, Indiana, its 1,180-acre suburban campus is about 60 miles northeast of Indianapolis. Enrollment is approximately 15,500 undergraduate and 6,000 graduate students. Ball State is in the Mid-American Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 14% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 31 fraternities and sororities. It has a Catholic Newman Center and a FOCUS ministry.
