About the School
Founded in 1845, Baylor University is a private Baptist research university. Located in Waco, Texas, Baylor’s 1,000-acre urban campus is about 100 miles south of Dallas, and 100 miles north of Austin. Enrollment is approximately 14,000 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate students. Baylor is in the Big Twelve Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 25% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 12 fraternities and sororities. Baylor has a St. Peter Catholic Student Center, where the Mass is celebrated every weekend in both forms (ordinary and extraordinary) with the help of a professional choir and exquisite sacred music, a Thomistic Institute chapter, and a FOCUS ministry.
