About the School

Founded in 1754, Columbia University is a private Ivy League university. Located in New York City, New York, Columbia’s urban campus is 32 acres. Enrollment is approximately 8,000 undergraduate and 22,000 graduate students. Columbia’s acceptance rate is less than 10%. Columbia is in the Ivy League Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 30% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 14 fraternities and sororities. Columbia University has a Catholic Ministry, Thomistic Institute chapter, and FOCUS ministry.
