About the School
Founded in 1882, Eastern Washington University, or EWU, is a public university. Located in Cheney, Washington, EWU’s 300-acre campus is in close proximity to Spokane. Enrollment is approximately 10,500 undergraduate and 3,000 graduate students. EWU is in the Big Sky Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 20% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 90 fraternities and sororities. EWU has a Newman Center and FOCUS ministry.
