About the School
Founded in 1965, Florida International University, or FIU, is a public university. Located in Miami, Florida, its urban campus is 344 acres. Enrollment is approximately 50,000 undergraduate and 10,000 graduate students. FIU is in the East Division in Conference USA in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 2% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 29 fraternities and sororities. FIU has a Catholic Campus Ministry.
