About the School
Founded in 1885, Georgia Institute of Technology, commonly known as Georgia Tech, is a public research university with a multi-billion dollar endowment. Located in Atlanta, Georgia, its urban campus is 400 acres. Enrollment is approximately 15,000 undergraduate and 10,000 graduate students. With an acceptance rate of less than 25%, it is a leading university in advancements in science and technology. Georgia Tech is in the Atlantic Coast Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also clubs and intramural sports on campus. Around 26% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 52 fraternities and sororities. Georgia Tech has a Catholic Center and FOCUS ministry.
