About the School
Founded in 2003, John Paul the Great Catholic University, or JP Catholic, is a private Catholic university specializing in creative arts and business innovation. Located in Escondido, California, its 3-acre suburban campus is about 30 miles northeast of San Diego. Enrollment is approximately 250 undergraduate students. JP Catholic is not NCAA affiliated. They have an intramural sports system directed and run by students. There is no "Greek life" (fraternities or sororities) on campus. JP Catholic is one of 15 faithfully Catholic universities recommended by the Cardinal Newman Society.
