About the School

Founded in 1863, Kansas State University, or KSU, is a private university. Located in Manhattan, Kansas, its 664-acre urban campus is about 60 miles west of Topeka. Enrollment is approximately 17,000 undergraduate and 4,000 graduate students. KSU is in the Big Twelve Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 20% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 37 fraternities and sororities. KSU has a Catholic Center and FOCUS ministry.
