About the School
Founded in 1831, New York University, or NYU, is a private university. Located in New York City, NYU’s urban campus is 230 acres. Enrollment is approximately 26,500 undergraduate and 20,000 graduate students. NYU’s acceptance rate is less than 20%. NYU is in the University Athletic Association in the NCAA Division 3. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 3% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 30 fraternities and sororities. NYU has a Catholic Center, Thomistic Institute chapter, and FOCUS ministry.
