About the School
Founded in 1939, Penn State, Altoona is a commonwealth campus of Penn State University. Located in Altoona, Pennsylvania, it has a suburban 171-acre campus just 45 miles south of Penn State, University Park, the main campus. Enrollment is approximately 3,000 undergraduate students. Penn State, Altoona is in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference in the NCAA Division 3. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. There is no “Greek Life” (fraternities and sororities) on campus. It has a Catholic Campus Ministry.
