About the School
Founded in 1899, Texas State University is a public university. Located in San Marcos, Texas, Texas State’s 507-acre campus is 30 miles from Austin. Enrollment is approximately 33,000 undergraduate and 5,000 graduate students. Texas State is in the Sun Belt Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. There is no “Greek Life” (fraternities and sororities) on campus. Texas State has a Catholic University Parish, Campus Ministry, Thomistic Institute chapter, and FOCUS ministry.
