About the School
Founded in 1867, Truman State University is a public university. Located in Kirksville, Missouri, Truman State’s 210-acre campus is about 160 miles from Kansas City. Enrollment is approximately 5,000 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students. Truman State is in the Great Lakes Valley Conference in the NCAA Division 2. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 20% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 26 fraternities and sororities. Truman State has a Catholic Newman Center.
