About the School
Founded in 1831, University of Alabama is a public university with an endowment over $1 billion. Located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, its 1,143-acre rural campus is about 200 miles west of Atlanta. Enrollment is approximately 32,000 undergraduate and 5,000 graduate students. University of Alabama is in the SEC Big 12 Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 35% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 68 fraternities and sororities. University of Alabama has a Campus Ministry and FOCUS ministry.
