About the School
Founded in 1868, University of California, Berkeley, is a public university with an endowment over $4 billion. Located in Berkeley, California, just 15 miles outside of San Francisco, its urban campus is 1,232 acres. Enrollment is approximately 30,000 undergraduate and 10,000 graduate students. UC Berkeley is in the PAC-12 Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 30% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 60 fraternities and sororities. UC Berkeley has a Catholic Newman Center, a Thomistic Institute chapter, and a FOCUS ministry.
