About the School
Founded in 1890, University of Chicago is a private university with an endowment over $5 billion. Located in Chicago, Illinois, its 217-acre urban campus is in the Hyde Park neighborhood, just south of downtown Chicago. Enrollment is a bit more than 6,000 undergraduate and 10,000 graduate students. Its acceptance rate is less than 10%. University of Chicago is in the University Athletic Association Conference in the NCAA Division 3. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 19% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 20 fraternities and sororities. University of Chicago has a Catholic Center and and Catholic Student Association.
