About the School
Founded in 1865, University of Kentucky, or UK, is a public university with an endowment over $1 billion. Located in Lexington, Kentucky, its suburban campus is 918 acres. Enrollment is approximately 22,000 undergraduate and 8,000 graduate students. UK is in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 27% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 50 fraternities and sororities. UK has a Newman Center and FOCUS ministry.
