About the School
Founded in 1883, University of Texas at Austin, or UT, is a public research university part of the University of Texas System with an endowment over $30 billion. Located in Austin, Texas, it has a 437-acre urban campus. Enrollment is approximately 40,000 undergraduate and 11,000 graduate students. UT is in the Big Twelve Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 10% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 60 fraternities and sororities. UT has a University Catholic Center, Thomistic Institute chapter, and FOCUS ministry.
