About the School
Founded in 1848, University of Wisconsin, Madison is a public research university. Located in Madison, Wisconsin, its urban campus is 936 acres. Enrollment is approximately 33,000 undergraduate and a bit more than 10,000 graduate students. UW Madison is in the Big Ten Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 13% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 60 fraternities and sororities. UW Madison has the St. Paul's Catholic Student Center, a FOCUS ministry, and a Thomistic Institute Chapter.
